Introduction to Gedeng Ancient Tea Mountain

Gedeng Ancient Tea Mountain is located between Yibang Tea Mountain and Mangzhi Tea Mountain, covering an area of about 150 square kilometers. Gedeng is Blang language, meaning a high place. From the place name, Blang people once lived in Gedeng.

Gedeng Tea Mountain is the smallest among the six tea mountains. Although it is small in size, it has a special status and a proud reputation among the six tea mountains because it is the closest to Kongming Mountain and has a very large tea king tree.

The Taste Characteristics of Geden Tea:

  • Strips: The strips of the tea leaves are black and bright, smelling like dry tea, with a faint floral and fruity aroma and sweetness.
  • Soup color: golden and translucent.
  • Fragrance: The fragrance of flowers is strong and lasting, the fragrance at the bottom of the cup is high, the fragrance is special, and the flavor of mountains and fields is strong.
  • Taste: Slightly bitter in the mouth, astringent and short, with a unique mountain flavor and strong taste, the tea soup is softer and less bitter; the sweetness and body fluid are quickly returned, the sweetness is rich and the sweetness is strong, and the soup is smooth and delicate.
  • Leaf bottom: The leaf bottom is evenly yellow-green.
